Privacy at iPhones.LA
Last updated October 3, 2026. iPhones.LA buys and sells used Apple devices in Long Beach, California. This notice says what we collect, why, who helps us handle it, how long we keep it, and how to ask us for a copy of it, to correct it or to delete it. We do not sell or share your personal information.
When you visit the site
We keep our own record of visits to this site. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta pixels, or any other third-party tracker, and we do not sell or share what we collect.
For each visit we store: the pages you looked at, what you selected in the sell form (the device, not anything you typed), how long each page was open and how far down it you scrolled, how many times you clicked or tapped on it, the site you arrived from, your approximate location from your IP address, your IP address, the network it belongs to, your browser's language setting and timezone, your browser's user-agent string, and a random ID stored in a cookie on your browser so we can tell a returning visitor from a new one.
We use it to see which parts of the site people find useful, where the sell form loses people, and to recognise you if you come back to finish a quote. We also use it to tell real visitors apart from automated traffic. We do not use any of it to make decisions about you: nothing here changes what the site shows you, what you are offered for a device, or whether you can use the site.
We look your IP address up in the public domain name system to see which internet provider or company it belongs to. That is the only time anything about your visit leaves our own systems, and it is a lookup of the address alone: we do not send it to any analytics or advertising company, and we do not buy data about you from anyone.
We keep it for 180 days and then delete it automatically.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we still count the visit but we do not store your IP address. Clearing your cookies makes you a new visitor to us.
What you give us
When you use one of our forms we keep what you enter: your name, email address and phone number; the device you are selling or buying and what you tell us about it, such as its model, storage, condition, IMEI or serial number and any photos you upload; the address for a delivery or a shipment; and any message you write to us.
We use it to do what you asked: to price your device, send you an offer, an invoice or a receipt, arrange a pickup, a delivery or a shipment, answer your messages, and keep the records of a sale that the law requires. We also use it to protect you and us from fraud, for example by checking that a device is not reported lost or stolen.
If you use a friend's referral code, or share your own, we keep the code, which deals used it, and how you asked to be paid your reward, such as a Zelle or Venmo name or a mailing address for a check. The person whose code you used is told that it was used, and never what you bought or sold or for how much.
Customer accounts and order updates
If you create an app account, we keep your name and the email addresses or phone numbers you verify, along with your orders, device reports, messages, appointment choices and order history. We use a signed-in session cookie so you can see only your own orders. Signing out of the account ends all its active sessions. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days. We do not request an ID or face scan in this release.
The meeting address you enter is shared with the staff assigned to complete your order. Drivers can choose to share their location while their work page is open. A customer sees a fresh driver location only while that driver is on the way to their order, not the driver's other stops or other customers' addresses.
Google provides address lookup and travel estimates using meeting and route locations. OpenStreetMap supplies map tiles for the area shown in the app; loading those tiles shares the viewed map area and the browser's IP address with the tile provider. EasyPost and the selected carrier receive the sender and recipient details, package information and declared value needed to create labels and track shipments. These services are used to complete your order.
Who helps us handle it
A few companies handle parts of it for us, only to provide their service to us. Stripe takes card payments, and your card details go to Stripe, never to us. Our email provider sends our emails. Twilio sends our text messages and the verification code for the free device check. If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (part of Meta) carries your messages and photos to us under its own terms. Our device check provider looks up the IMEI or serial number you enter, and only that number. Our hosting provider runs this site and stores its data. If you message us, we may use software, including AI tools, to help us read and answer you. We do not sell your information to anyone or share it for anyone else's advertising.
Emails and texts
When you give us your email address or phone number in one of our forms (a sell quote, a wholesale lot, checkout, or the free device check), we use it to send you what you asked for, such as an offer, an invoice or a receipt, and a few reminders about it until you answer. Every reminder email has a link to stop them, and you can reply STOP to a text. We do not use these details for anything else.
We send automated texts about offers only if you ticked the box asking for them; the verification code for the free device check is not one of them. Ticking it is never required, to use the check or to sell to us, and you can reply STOP at any time. We do not sell or share your phone number, or your agreement to receive texts, with anyone for their own marketing, and no mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The texting terms are on this site at iphones.la/sms-terms.
How long we keep it
Visit records, 180 days, as above. Your quotes, orders and messages, for as long as we need them to finish what you asked for and to keep the records of a sale that tax law requires. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we keep only your email address or phone number on our do not contact list, so that we can keep to it.
Your choices and your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of there, and we treat you the same whether or not you use these rights.
To make a request, use the form below, or call or text (562) 999-4994. We confirm that a request comes from you by checking the email address or phone number you give against what we hold, and we answer within 45 days. Someone you authorize in writing can ask for you. We keep what the law requires us to keep, such as the tax record of a sale, and we tell you if we keep anything.
Children
This site is not for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
